What is Alloy Steel T91 Tubing?

Alloy Steel T91 tubing is a ferritic-martensitic steel primarily made up of chromium (8–9.5%), molybdenum (0.85–1.05%), vanadium (0.18–0.25%), and nitrogen, all resting on a carbon steel base. It’s engineered for high-temperature applications, boasting impressive creep strength, oxidation resistance, and thermal stability. Typically, T91 tubing has a minimum tensile strength of 585 MPa and a yield strength of at least 415 MPa, with an elongation of no less than 20%. These characteristics are further improved through heat treatment methods like normalizing, tempering, and quenching, making it well-suited for challenging thermal and mechanical environments.
