ABS DH36 steel is a robust structural steel grade recognized by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), mainly utilized in shipbuilding. Its typical chemical makeup features carbon (≤0.18%), manganese (0.90–1.60%), silicon (0.10–0.50%), phosphorus (≤0.035%), sulfur (≤0.035%), along with small amounts of nickel, chromium, and copper. This steel boasts impressive mechanical properties, including a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and tensile strength ranging from 490 to 620 MPa.
